Ruling On Calling For Federation In Iraq

Question:

What is the ruling on calling for federalism or regions in Iraq, especially Anbar and Nineveh ?

Answer:

This act is considered a form of evil that must be removed, and it does not help the one who does it with any help in terms of words, deed, support or praise . Rather, it deserves boycott and desertion, and this is considered one of the major sins that punishes its owner, and the punishment may reach the point of killing in the end, and this is evidenced by the saying of the Noble Messenger Muhammad , peace be upon him , in the honorable hadith narrated by Muslim (Whoever wants to separate the matter of this nation and it is all, strike him with the sword whoever it is).
